  • Registration

    Please sign-in at the front desk upon arrival. The front desk staff will verify your personal information and give you any forms necessary for your visit.

  • Waiting room

    We know your time is valuable and we’ll make every effort to see you at your scheduled appointment time. Unfortunately, emergencies, complications, and other issues may lead to unexpected delays.

  • Exam room

    Once you’re in an exam room, a medical assistant will ask you preliminary questions and record your vital signs. If your physician is delayed, the medical assistant will keep you updated.

  • Tests

    Depending on the nature and complexity of your tests, the timing of results may vary widely. If your physician orders tests during your appointment, please ask him or her when you should expect to hear about the results.

  • Your bill

    If you have any questions when you receive your bill, please contact our billing office by phone or email. We will make every effort to respond within 24 hours.

  • Follow up appointments

    Please try to schedule all routine appointments as far in advance as possible. If your physician of choice does not have an appointment convenient to your schedule, we may suggest a professional colleague.

  • Prescriptions

    If you need to speak with your physician between visits, please allow up to 24 hours for your non-urgent calls to be returned. Your physician’s medical secretary can help you with prescription refills.

  • Concerns

    If you have any concerns regarding any aspect of your visit, please call and ask to speak with the practice manager.

How Insurance Works at Prestige
Prestige Membership + Insurance = Savings

FOR PATIENTS WITH TRADITIONAL INSURANCE

We are pleased to offer you urgent or injury care services at our facility. Our membership model prevents us from accepting traditional insurance coverage as payment for service. Therefore, you will need to pay the full cost of your visit at the time treatment is provided. However, Prestige staff members can then provide you with an itemized receipt for you to submit an out-of-network claim to your insurance carrier. In some cases, your insurance copayment may be as much or more than our charge for your visit. Depending on the nature of the visit, our facility charges are typically less than the copays for a Bronze Insurance Plan.

PRESTIGE MEMBERSHIP IS NOT INSURANCE

Prestige Membership is not healthcare insurance. Our memberships work best when combined with a high-deductible insurance plan. Membership provides access to everyday healthcare needs, while high-deductible insurance provides protection against catastrophic medical events such as major surgery or hospitalization.

FOR OUR UNINSURED PATIENTS

If you do not have insurance, you can access our urgent and injury care services whenever you need them on a fee-for-service basis. However, ongoing primary care services are reserved for our members.

RIGHTFUL ROLE OF INSURANCE

Removing insurance as the middleman between patient and physician enables us to offer affordable everyday healthcare and provide a level of care that is not possible in a traditional insurance-based practice. Today, an average of forty cents out of every primary care dollar is spent on insurance billing costs. This overhead problem, along with shrinking reimbursement rates, forces physicians to see 25 to 35 or more patients per day simply to sustain their practice. Consequently, the average “face time” of a primary care visit is now seven minutes and rarely longer than fifteen. Additional insurance rules further constrain the patient-physician relationship.

These are simply a few of the reasons Prestige believes the most cost effective healthcare solution for the majority of the population is to combine a monthly primary/urgent healthcare membership plan at a local healthcare facility with a high-deductible insurance policy. Furthermore, we believe this innovative approach will soon become the new standard for healthcare. It better serves the needs of patients and restores insurance to its rightful role as protection against unforeseen and very expensive medical situations.
